actually hussars' wings were taken from Mongolian troop invading Poland (Genghis Khan and so on).

those wings prevented soldiers from lassos (rope couldn't reach sb's kneck(neck?) and caught a feathers only. (Mongolian riders could catch knight on a rope and pull him down, suffocate or turn him int oa slave).

it would be fantastic to see similiar work but with red skirt (in a Roman infantry style) plus golden cross on the breast and turkish/german warhammer in the second hand - that sabre is wonderful - very true and nice looking

um sorry, maybe I was too harsh, but I really like that piece of art.
it looks nice, wings and armor .
I really don't now wjat are the rules on Deviant- what are the rules of commenting.
I simply write whta I think.

BTW - I think those wings are looking too "sttraight" (like set on a wall) . That warrior isn't en face, so the wings should be slightly different. one should be 'closer'than the other.

lol, it's alright, don't worry about being too harsh. ; I was just confused a bit. Again, TekTek.com is NOT the best place to make historically accurate avatars unless it's (at the moment) Japanese, Egyptian, or western European. (english etc..) I just wanted to make a Polish Hussar, because I've been on a major mood for my father's bloodline/history etc... lately.
