Whisper in my Ear

Midnight blue and setting sun, drifting colours on the run,
Through the storm now overhead, thoughts of earth, and rain, and dread,
Watching through the grimy glass, looking at the world vast,
Things I think about I fear, whisper demons in my ear.

Ceaseless fog and endless rain, the world I see within my pain,
My eyes are closed, my heart is flayed, no lies nor tricks nor masquerade,
Empty depths within the soul, reality seems an endless hole,
The truth which I so brightly hear, sung by demons in my ear.

Why I beg, I cry, I fight, but find no solace in this light,
Every island floats away, always there, but never stay,
I tried to hold and keep away, but it seems that there's no way,
To keep the distress gone from here, whisper demons in my ear.

Darkness rebounds close to me, grips my lungs with baleful glee,
All alone, they seem to say, no one's with you, every day,
Madness grips my every being, dolor chains me with it's sting,
Never leave you, always here! The demons whisper in my ear.
